Common Services Centers (CSCs)

Common Services Centers (CSCs) are a strategic cornerstone of the Digital India Programme. They are the access points for delivery of various electronic services to villages and rural areas in India and contribute towards fulfilling the Government’s mandate of a digitally and financially inclusive society. Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) is a CSC operator and is key to success of CSC operations. A good VLE is one who has entrepreneurial traits, strong social commitment and respect within the community. The quality of services offered at CSCs depends on the entrepreneurial abilities of VLEs operating them.
